Time for something new......a review

Hello my little mushrooms 🍄

I hope your well, today I've done something a little different.  My son and I have been setting up a YouTube channel with Lego builds, we LOVE Lego in this house and we thought it would be fun to share it.

So being the mummy I am, I understand that not everyone can afford the prices Lego charge which can be disappointing but.....there are others out there....there is another way and if that little printed word Lego doesn't bother your little one.....or indeed you...then my review builds are the videos for you.

Star Fighter Set

Here we are again with another Poundland Brick Set, this time we've gone all Space themed and got the Star Fighter set.

This product was £1 and the company on the box is BuildX, this is the Outer Space collection.  The model is a Star Fighter.

First off we're pretty impressed with the amount of pieces you get, 53 is nothing to be sniffed at. We should add that 11 pieces were solely the mini figure.

The Quality feels VERY cheap, I mean plastic feel but as I said before it's not real Lego and will never have the same feel.  One thing I did notice while building, which you will quickly see in the video, is a few of the pieces won't stay in place even after a good push. It did fall apart a few times as I built it and I don't think it would last long during playtime with kids.  BUT......I think using super glue will sort that out although sadly that does take away the 'Rebuild' factor.

Compared to some sets we've bought this one is a great size to play with Lego Mini-Figs as you can see they fit nicely.

All around it's a nice little cheap and cheerful set and I can see a lot of potential for play or just for visual value.  If it does fall apart that easy and super glue is the only option then so be it, you can always add stuff to the fixed spaceship and still have fun.

For the few faults I personally found I would give it 3/5 bricks rating because it's still a great little toy once finished.

Emmet's Room-Day 12 World Book Day

Happy #worldbookday everyone!

Did you have a fun day, did you celebrate the awesomeness that is books? 

Well here in Emmet's room we had a double celebration.  Not only did we have a party and share books but Captain America made it back! He was super lost trying to find my house for the 100 followers party.  But he made it back for World Book Day. Everyone had a great day, Harley Quinn behaved herself and even read Dobby a nice book about chickens. 

I did worry that Benny was going to miss everything, something about a camera 📷 but he finally made it and was happy to see Captain America.

Emmet's Room-Day 11

Good morning and happy valentine's Day!

I'm off for a walk with my special friend but on the way to meet her I found some awesome things. 

I saw London over the river, I climbed an old wall....which was very high for my little legs. Then I saw these awesome statues of a man, lady and I'm pretty sure this cat is a statute because he didn't meow much.

Now I'm running to tell Lucy so I can take her to see them before I shower her with chocolate, flowers and everything awesome!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!

I had the most terrifying dream........and I think I wet the bed.......this is really not awesome. I think I'm going to go to the kitchen and have some warm milk and a cookie to make me feel better. 

Being the Master builder that I am means I can make a clean bed in no time.

Hello everyone today has been so much fun I can hardly contain myself!!!!!!!!

We had a conga in my room today, Joker bought his new friends Oliver Wood and someone called Porgrid he's pretty awesome and very BIG!!!! Frog really enjoyed being up so high.  We stamped around all afternoon and had the best time.  I hope Teddy had fun too.

Ok that trip to the pyramid wasn't so awesome after all!!!! 

I discovered that it was a special place and I wasn't meant to go inside......or go passed the the barrier..... or take selfies.....or frog's........Oppsie

It's safe to say I got my tushie out if there super fast!!!!!!!!! I hope Teddy got out safely too.

Emmet's Room-Day Seven

How's it going party people Emmet here. 

So today I thought I'd take you away from my room to see the local pyramid.  It's awesome because it's brightly coloured, and inside there's some friendly folks I wanted my new Frog friend to meet. 

I wanted to get a selfie with the mummy, so I went passed this barrier but these two people came running at me.....whatever for I wonder? 

I do hope Frog likes this adventure and maybe teddy will come next time.
