Romance or adventure?

Ok, so I'm planning for the next novel and I can't decide weather to start a romance novel, a thriller, romance or an adventure, fantasy based of course with a hint of romance.

It's hard, the romance novel I'm quite excited about, it's a rather tongue in cheek, crew based romance or a heart wrenching warm romance between two people with a sad past. I do like the idea of both, and I will write them but I can't decide.

Then with the adventure, it's just too exciting not to write, I did want to make it my nano novel but I didn't really want to rush it. This one I have been thinking about for months, I have the entire plot planned and mapped out you see. I want to make it the best it can be.

So, you can see my dilemma my dears, I have too many novels I am excited to write.  You have to understand, when I'm excited about writing a book scene or entire series, I really want to write it there and then.  Of course life and duties call and I can't sit and write 24/7. That would be my dream of course, tend to life duties and then write for the rest.

This won't be the first romance novel I have written, well the first pure romance novel, I always add a hint of romance here and there. Sometimes a strong feeling of love between the characters make the story seem pure romance, but I tend to have some kind of heart ache or disaster ruin it or make that road to love harder. Where as, adventure, fantasy based will be easy, that's my strong genre, as I'm sure you know by now.

I guess it's always a good idea to do something new whe. It comes to your craft, like with the pure comedy.  I wrote it, I survived it and I hated it. I think I will stick to adding hints of humour instead of trying another pure comedy.

So does anyone have any thoughts? Maybe the fantasy, but then again the crew romance it's different, meaning imwill be writing naughty parts, not too heavy, but naughty none the less.  Let's say, there's more than just kissing.....and I'll leave it at that.

Have a wonderful Christmas my lovies and a happy new year!!!

Ok....Pure Comedy...not my thing really

Hello everyone,

I am happy and not so happy to report that I have finished Paranormally Haunted, its not as long as i thought but it will do as a novel.

Its good because, yeah I finished story number two in the challenge, 2 down and 10 to go!!! but the pooh thing is that i don't really like it, i was writing it and even I was getting a little bored, don't get me wrong i really like Desmond and Boris, but the story just did not do it for me.  Paranormal investigations are, somewhat dull to write until you get to the haunting parts, and it was only really funny when Boris came along.

I did have an idea, I am thinking of doing a spin off, the diary of Boris, the un dead story of Boris, that kind of thing, then i can make it as crazy as I like and because He's dead there is no limits.

So, here's my thought's on my writing pure comedy.  I'm not good at it, verbally i like to think im quite funny, i make people laugh, but to write those funny things down and add them to a story, gosh.  Its hard.  At least now I can say I have written a comedy and even though I don't really like it, I'm sure there is some one out there who will like it.

What I am think is this, I will set up a new Wattpad account just for these novels and post the link here, so I can post the finished stories up there after I finish editing them.  my plan is to have a rest from hard writing for hours after Nicholas is sleeping.  its Christmas and I have so much left to do so I'm sure you will understand if i use the rest of december for the holidays.  but I will post updates on the next novel, I'm undecided, maybe Romance, maybe a fantasy?  I will have a think.

Now, one more thing, check out my best friends blog too if you love the written word.  its called, A SLAVE TO THE WRITTEN WORD  go and check it out for me :D

MErry Christmas and Tatty bye my lovies

I just had to introduce......Boris

Hello my lovies,

So, I just had to introduce Boris.  He is one of a top characters for sure.

Boris doesn't need a surname, he's like Madonna, once you know who he is, all you'll need is his name.
Boris is a ghost, a drunken, rowdy, ghost who no ghost wants to be around. They always send him away at the AGM's, no one wants to haunt with him, poor Boris. He just wants a good time really,  he is always drunk, he died drunk, he's spends all his undead life drunk and has no intention to sober up.
He really is the Ghosts secret weapon, they don't really want to use him, they don't even like him in the same house let alone give him free run of the house.
Boris loves to boast how he punched polar bears in the face, he always adds a Bally well in his sentences and is a sex maniac! He loves insulting people.

I love the ghost, I am seriously considering writing his own mini series, the un dead chronically of Boris!!! Whoohoo!

Have a lovely week guys and gals

Do stories really need chapters all the time?

Hello everyone,

There has been this thought going through my head as I write an new idea down today.  Do stories really need chapters? I mean, I really like chapters, it's a poop sometimes naming them, but I do like them.
Yet, as I write Paranormally Haunted I wonder, how can I name them? It's a live show you see, I had the idea of naming them after what part of the show they at recording.  For example, when they do pieces to camera, the walk around, possessions etc.

But what do you think as readers? Are chapters and names important?  I think they are, I just have these random thoughts sometimes.  Haha!

Paranormally Haunted

So, it's the next novel, I have been planning this story with my brother for the passed few months.  You see, there is an interesting story behind this.....well story.

It all started when my brother Marcus and I was talking about random stuff while watching Most Haunted.  He would always take the pee put of Derek you see and was very good at it, I almost peed myself with laugher.  He later asked me to write some kind of movie script for him, but in the end it just didn't happen for some reason.  But in all honesty I really liked the character he created through fun, imjust had to make a novel and so Desmond O'Cora was born.  Marcus has full credit for him, he's so funny at times he doesn't even know it.
From this one character I created the idea of a paranormal investigation, then I wanted it to be funny, so after many ideas being thrown around I made the story I'm going to write.

Now this story is written by me, from a movie idea from Marcus but collaborated together, so it's odd really, he's given me ideas and a cool character, and I have taken those mad ideas from the both of us and created Paranormally Haunted!!!

Because I want it to be funny and a surprise I don't want to give away the plot, but I will give some character profiles to wet your taste buds.  I do hope this turns out ok, I have never written a pure comedy before, I always add the odd slap stick humour and funny bits, but pure funny? Pooh, what a challenge!

On a lighter side, I put my Christmas tree up, it looks so lovely, I love Christmas trees I really do.

Have a lovely week everyone,

Tatty bye

I've finished, I've finished, I've finished....I think I've finished 53.789 words!!!

Hello lovely people,

I'm so excited and happy because as you've guessed it..........I've finished National Novel Writing Month 2013!!! 53.789 thousand words!!! WHOOHOO!!!

But the only thing is I finished at 4pm today, I have never cut it so fine, I almost wet my pants I can tell you.
It was such a close shave it seemed like it would never be done, but it is, so why dwell on things that could have happened?  YEAH!!!  I'm so happy now its all done, you see, the other ten novels don't have a month dead line you see.

You see the way my personal challenge works is this, November 2013 i have the dead line, and November 2014 I have the same dead line.  So, and here's my thinking, the other ten novels I can take in my stride you see.  So if it takes me a little longer to complete one novels it doesnt really matter, just so long as I complete ten novels before the next NaNoWriMo I'm laughing!!!  Whuuuhahahahaha!

So how do I feel now that NaNoWriMo is over...........bloody relieved I can tell you.  This year was so stressful, it started out good but the last two weeks or so just sent me on a panic street.  First I thought it wouldn't make the 50k, then I thought it wouldn't be completed at all, then it was the time and.  Gosh it gives one shivers just thinking about it.  I must say after reading it today I do like it, it's not a bad little adventure/fantasy story, but I still think that my best NaNo story is 'To Waltz With Shadows' from last year.  I still like reading that one even now.  Reave is so cool!  then again I did feel rather cold towards my first NaNo story, but now I really like it and cant think why I was so harsh to it.

So, a large phew is in order Me thinks before I start the next novel and as I said, there is no dead line, all i need to do finished 10 novels before November 1st 2014..........and she makes it sound so easy doesn't she?  Oh yes, write 10 novels in the same amount of months, well on the bright side, 1 down, 11 to go.

Tatty bye and have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing.

Nearly there

Hello lovies,

How are you all?

Well it's so close to the end of national Novel Writing Month and I'm a little more calm as I reached 49k last night.  I was in a state of panic this passed weekend because I didn't think the story would reach 50k. I really did believe it was over this weekend, I reached the end of the novel, yes the story was finished and it fell short of 6k words! Talk about break down.  But then I read it back and I realised something.......some parts seemed......rushed.  I thought about it for a day and realised that the story was rushed in places and it was kissing a few things too, see that is why I believe you should always edit and re read whe you've done a story. I think what happened, the parts that was rushed lead onto parts I wanted to write, some parts really excite me and I really want to write it.  Then The missing parts, well, sometimes they come to your when you read it back.
So, tonight I should be able to finished it,fill in the gaps and un rush the rushed parts, then I will have a little rest and start the next novel in the challenge.

Paranormally Haunted!!!

Have fun and here's a shout out to my good buddy Acxel, helloooooo!!!

Tatty bye!

Ghost Adventures or Most Haunted?

Hello my lovies,

Well Nano is nearly finished which means round two of my personal challenge is nearly here.  Now, the title may seem a little different from the rest, well you see the next novel to be written is "Paranormally Haunted." A comedy about a paranormal investigation.  Live. Millions are watching. One presenter.  Two Mediems.  A group of ghosts with a secret weapon to deal with this new wave of investigators in their home.

But that's all I will tell you, all I will say is there are two characters that are still making me crack up, they make me laugh and there are only an idea on paper!

So, the reason for this blog, I have been researching.  I really loved watching Most Haunted with Yvette Fielding and the gang, it made me laugh at times and some evidence made me question, but mostly it was entertaining.  Now, recently a new show has come on our tv, Ghost Adventures.  I have watched it a few times, but not on a regular basis, it was a case of, "oh look, a ghost show." But wow it was different, and as I search and watch more and more shows I'm so impressed.  Not only is it entertaining, thought provoking but it's funny and different.  I really like the idea of three investigators each with their own style.  Zak is very brave standing up to evil spirits, but it's kinder funny in season one when he gets scared alone.  But then again, he's braver than me, and most people I know.  Then there's Aaron, he's a tech guy, he reminds me of myself, a little nervous but goes into the thick of it.  Nick, I don't see much of him, but he seems a mixture of both, not as provoking as Zak but not as nervous as Aaron. The team was and is a very good combination, they gather some thought provoking  evidence and I can't really see anything I would call fake.  I think sometimes their reactions are a little over the top, but then again, I would say 99% of the time they do look and seem scared or alarmed! surprised excited etc.  it's nice to see a show like it! it's extreme but realalistic.
Now Most Haunted, it's a little over the top, no correction it's very over the top.  It's a medium telling a story, in Derek Acuras case remembering facts he had researched, the. Them being interrupted by Yvette screaming or going, what's the hell was that? It's very funny at times and only a couple of times I have thought, hmmmmm, that looks real.  Now I have seen them fake things so whe I saw that and when Derek was proved a fake I kinder lost interest.

So, in my research time watching the GAC and MH I have to say the Zak, Aaron and Nick are the funnier, realistic, entertaining show. I would whole heartily recommend watching it you know.  Well, I am going to use the Most Haunted format for my comedy not only becaus I can have a ghost posses the Medium but it's just hilarious not to.  Plus, I like the GAC crew too much to take the mick out of cool guys who put themselves on the front line.  Plus they are funny enough without any comedy input, I watch AArons Vlogs and would highly recommend you do the same.

So my lovies, I hope you look forward to Paranormally Haunted AND you watch Ghost Adventure.......and Most Haunted.......just for fun or thought provoking evidence.

Tatty bye Ghost Hunters!

So it's been a few days..........

Hello and hello again lovies,

Sorry it's been a few days but I have been away for the weekend visiting family, and I left the laptop behind.  Boooo! But it was worth it because now I'm refreshed and ready for the last push because its day 18.

I always gets so scared the closer it gets to the 20th, I think it's the fact the days get down to single digits. By day 25 I'm a nervous wreck. Hahaha! Unless I'm finished.

Today I've decided I need to go back, I had an idea on the ferry, I really want to add it now instead of after I finished.  It's hard writing to a dead line and adding a other idea, like two steps forward one steps back.

I had another idea for a novel from a news strory, it's rather morbid though, a man was found down a well, un identified you see, bit that gave me an idea for a story line where a high up officer has to work on the mans identity, he takes the work home and his daughter, newly plot from a boyfriend, living back at home, sees it and takes it into her own hands.  She finds out about the man, who, what etc and ends up falling for him. Bit sick really when it's written down, it will be like a physological thing, she has dreams, visions and can go mad for it maybe .  That's the idea.  Haha! It's a new type of genre for me, no fantasy involved.

Well my lunch is finished, I'm off to eat that with a hot chocolate!

Tatty bye my lovies!

The half way point

Hello lovies,

Well as you can no doubt guess I have finally reached the halfway point and I feel sooooo happy.  I think every year it has gotten easier.  I would love to have someone else doing National Novel Writing Month with me then we could compare and encourage one another.

I have been thinking today, maybe this novel wont reach 50k?  I'm close to 30k you see and its going well, but I keep getting this horrible feeling that it just wont go all the way.  But there is one blessed thing about novels, once completed you have to read them back and edit edit edit!!!  Editing can be so dull at times, you see, I'm a reader, I LOVE to read as well as write, so to have that interrupted by having to think and edit is a hassle at times.  but I do end up making it better, and as I think about it, I already have a few things I want to add.  So maybe all this doubt is all in my head?

I guess all novelists have that doubt when they are tied to some kind of target, most have the time limit thing. I read recently that main stream authors are given time limits by their publishers, to be honest it is fun to have that extra push but as I have said before, I dont believe in rushing creativity, words or other wise.  It can be very messy.

I hope this Blog is wetting your appetite not only to read my work but maybe to start a project of your own, you dont have to start big like 50k, or 12 novels in one year.  Maybe start off small, write a few things that happened to you in your week, funny things, nice things.  Or create a character, that is always fun, sometimes I have the urge to create a character and then write a story for that one character.  I did that once, I had two characters in mind, one was kind, sweet and very open hearted, full of nature, while the second was cold, mean, cruel, wanted to shun the world.  But I wanted them to connect, for one to change the other, and the other to protect the one.  It turned out to be a thriller/romance but I love it.  So there, you see, a single idea can blossom into a beautiful work of art.  Keeping a diary or journal is always helpful, or writing down your dreams.

Well, I would stay and chat more, but I have to have a break from typing, I do want to write some more before bedtime so I have to take that break.

Take care and Tatty bye

The Lost Firefly, 20 thousand words reached

Hello everyone, I just wanted to give you an update on novel one and national novel writing month!

Last night I reached and smashed twenty thousand words, I'm nearly at that half way point and it's only been a week.  I'm quite surprised with myself, considering I only get the chance to write 8:30 to around midnight, that's PM by the way.  I think its because I type as fast as I think, I did a lot of typing work in my early jobs, teen to early twenties was moving from job to job and most of the time it was typing.  So I have quite the knack for it.

So, at the moment Raine and Hunter are off to get blessings and.......well, I can't tell you any more or it will ruin the story.  So, I feel quite confident that this year I will be able to complete national novel writing month.  But it's that last few thousand words that always worries me, I always get to fourty thousand and start to panic, what if I don't reach the target, what if I rush the ending just to reach the target.  After all I believe the story should not be rushed or ruined just to reach a word target, but it does add a challange.  But I always tell myself, it's all about the story not the word count, although it is all about the word count in competition terms.  But I will not ruin a story for it.

So, I hope your looking forward to reading it, I have discovered that I can have another blog, so when the novel is done I will publish it on a blog for you to read, the. Start my next one of course.

Have a lovely weekend

Tatty bye.

So I had an idea....

Hello lovely people you,

I had a thought this morning, yes this one was a hum dinger of a headache.

So, I was going to look later on and see if blogger will let me have two blogs at once, and if I can I would very much like to share a novel with you, DNA.  My thriller/romance with three parts. I have been working on part one, not so much a rewrite, just editing really.  I will make part two and part three included with the challenge,

That's it, nothing special, but I just wanted to share that with you. It's going to be a bit of a long day today, I can feel it.   tuna long day is good for writing right? After hitting that 10k word I feel so happy and energised!

I think later I will give you a snippet of Hunter's thought process, it's quite funny.

How do I feel on day three.....GREAT!!!

Hello everyone,

Its blog time again whoohoo!!!

So its day three of National Novel Writing month and i can say with a smile that it is going well.  Tonight I confirm that I will crash through a mile stone, the first 10k mark is only a few hundred words away.  thats so exciting to reach that much at such an early stage, and considering I went out last night to watch a firework display and only did around 1k words.  Well, it makes me all the more happy.

I do have a slight concern at this stage, and yes so early.  Well, I'm nearly at adult hood for Raine which is the real beginning of the adventure.  I think I have this thought every year to be honest, once the story really gets going a watch that word count like people do a clock at work.  I think its a blessing and a curse having that word count at the bottom of the screen.

The plot itself is running smoothly, I have found myself changing my writing style slightly, you see, I write fantasy which, although its mostly made up, it has a certain air of seriousness to it.  Now I wanted this story to be slightly more fun and light hearted, childlike almost.  So i read one of my favourite books, "Alice in Wonderland." Lewis Carol has a way of writing that is serious but fun and childlike all at once, so I drew inspiration from that and I think its working well.  My concerns I had with hunter have gone too now he's appeared, I've made him slightly forgetful and have that funny habit of letting his mind run away with him as he speaks......very much like me.  I'll start with one thing and end up somewhere completely different.

I also had another thought for next months novel, the ending, I'm going to change it because I was watching Ghost Adventure's....but that's all I'm going to say.  I really want Paranormally Haunted to be as funny as possible.  I'm also getting in contact with mediums and people who work in the paranormal community for their idea's, works and experiences in that world because I have a character I want to be accurate.

Well that's enough for now my lovelies, I'm off to update my word count of Nano site and hit that 10k mark before i unwind with a cup of tea, some music and bed.

Tatty bye

To the lovely people who read my blog

Well its gone 11 pm here in the UK and I have just finished some hard work on 'The Lost Firefly' and I decided, after updating my word count with Nano that I would look around this Blogger site some more.

To my delight I found I can see how many people look and read my blog and I am so happy I could cry that 45 people alone today looked and had a read.

I never thought one would look but to have 45 is amazing, so thank you to everyone who has looked and will look again.  I hope you enjoy reading my words :D

For an update, the beginning of a novel is always the hardest point i think, trying to get that opening line, that first paragraph to catch the reader into the world of the following pages.  Its not as easy as you think, i will admit i tried four different openings and i decided on one i thought to sound mysterious but catching.

Raine was just like any other girl of 17, she was bright at most things in her school life but a self-confessed loner.  Raine had never felt she fit in with any of the groups in the halls of her small town school.  She was not very athletic, she was not very smart and she thought nothing of her looks to call herself a socialite.  In fact Raine was either ignored most of the day or teased in some classes for her eye colour.  (Chances are i will change this by the end of the week.)

You see, raine had one green eye and one blue, i really like giving my character some kind of defining feature and most of the time its the eyes.  I believe eyes are doorways to the soul, that you can see everything from a persons eyes.  They are so expressive at time you know, eyes, you can see love shining back, the tears of sadness and the anger flashing behind the whites. I guess that is and always will be my thing, a lovely pair of beautiful eyes no matter what the colour, its just the eyes.

Oh enough of me going all mushy on you all, I don't want to make you sick.  :-) I think I might add a few more hundred words and then call it a night, it has been a long old day today and now my eyes are starting to feel a little sleepy.  I wish I could say I will be up all night writing, but I find novels tend to get a little messy and boring when you get tired.  And besides, i Still have 29 days left.

Have a lovely weekend what ever you're doing and remember to keep one smiling.

Tatty Bye

It's has begun...

Sooo, helloo my little lovies,

It's the first of November which can only mean one thing.......National Novel Writing Month!!!

Yes it is here and the madness of writing to a dead line has begun.  It will be challenging this year for so many reasons but I find writing underressure is fun.  It doesn't make the story feel rushed, my main novels take many months to write, sometimes over a year because I take so much care, attention and research to make them perfect.  Take my 'Nightshade' series for example, I haven been writing the first novel, out lines for all eight novels, while researching mythical creatures for around 12 years now.  If I had been out of work and not busy with life I think the entire series would have been finished.  But Unfortunatly my career is not writing, I wish it was.  But I'm glad I have taken so long in writing them, it's a labour of love really and I love it!

So i decided to not blog the Royal Family info, it would give away too much about the plot and characters. And we don't want that do we?  So 'The Lost Firefly' will be first the. My dark comedy about a team of Paranormal Investigators of get more than they baggined for.  I'm not going to tell you anymore than that.  You will have to wait!

So I shall keep you updated with the challenge, novel number one will be started today!

Tatty bye!!!

Character teaser: Hunter

Ok, here is our last character, Hunter.

This character is Mad Hatter meets a lovely sweetheart.  He is as crazy as a fruitcake but knows when things need to be done, he will be the one to do it.  He met Raine at a yongue age and became firm friends. He has taught her howmto swim, archery, he is her guild throughout the land and protects her in his own mad way.

Hunter is by trade a hunter..........of pom-poms.  He heard from Raine about pom-poms that cheerleaders use and decided from that day on they were a menace and needed to be caught and placed in a muddy puddle.  Of course he has never caught any because they are not in his world and no real threat, but he doesn't know that.

Hunters best friend is Cat, he lives in his field in a treehouse decorated with ribbons he finds during his hunts.  Hunter is also a good friend with the King Jerrad Firefly, although Hunter is younger than the king they have many conversations on things such as the other realms, the citizens and of course those dreaded pom-poms.

This character will be my most challenging I think, I have never really written with a mad character, I want him to have an air of madness but also that protective, sane side for Raine.

Well, next I will explain the realms and the royal families that go with them.

Only three days untill nanowrimo

Character teaser: Auran

Auran Firefly isnthe brother of Jerrad the king of the Earth Realm when Raine first visits, he started the war years before her visit and devastated the Kingdom of Life. The Kingdom of Life is the fifth realm, the throne was empty as a child of Life had not been born.  (I shall explain how the realms work in a few blogs time.). Auran decided that he could not reign over the lands he would destroy them and he started with Life.
It was then the King and Queen of the Earth realm, Jerrad's sister and brother in law, decided to fight against Auran.  Together the four realms joined and fought back Aurans fog and sealed him on the island that was once the kingdom of Life.
Auran is only able to break his seal when Hunter and Raine travel to his island, this releases his fog and slowly he tries to complete his original desire.  To rule the entire land.
Auran is a bitter character, he feels he was cheated as his parents over looked him and gave the throne to his sister.  It is a tradition that the Realm of Earth will always be rules by a female unless no female heir is born.  This started Auran's desire of war.

Auran is a character that is mostly mentioned, he makes his appearence as Hunter and Raine are about to bind their hearts and soul in marriage.

Well as I always say, I can't give away too much or it will ruin the story.  Auran is the bad guy, as they say, so he is the threat although he's not really in it until the end.

Tatty bye my lovies where I will give you the last character tester.......Hunter!

Character teaser: that crazy wizard Cat

Hello again bloggers an reders alike,

It has been a few days I know and I'm sorry.

Well here is the taster of Cat as promised even though it is a little late.  Well, as the title says,he's a crazy, wizard Cat.  Funnily enough he is a Cat, he lives in a field and tends to the grass, flowers and whenever a citizen needs a potion he brews it from ingridiences he frowns in his back yard, which just so happens to be the entire field.

He is warm and fuzzy, he does not like to act as a feline, he enjoys brewing a potion that makes him stand like a man, wearing a suit and top hat.  He has always helped the royal family.  Cats age is unknown as it is very well known that his field has some kind of protection from time. No one is sure how he done it, only the citizens of that rhealm may enter the field.

Cat is a great ally to have, he is loyal and quite sensible, at least when compared to Hunter.

Of course I can't give away too much about the characters or it will ruin the story :-)

Character Teaser: Raine

The lovely Raine, the heroine of the story.

I realised one day after a talk with my brother, the main hero of my novels are women, I do have males as sub characters but the main character is always a woman, even with 'To Waltz with Shadows' I think Nightshade is a real lead role besides Snow of course.

In this story there are four lead characters, Raine, Hunter, Cat and Auran, now Auran is the antagonist of the story, that's bad guy to those who don't know, he's not really in it much, he is mentioned a lot during the story and this builds him up you see.

Raine is a young woman attending school in this world, she is very quite and secretive.  She doesn't really spend time with her peers during or after school partly because she has no desire to but main because of her aunties and Louie.
She lives with her aunties and a man called Louie, she has always been told, her parents were killed in a war and the four of them took her to safety deep in a valley town.
Like most of my femail characters she has a very unique appearence, her hair is red like fire and she has one blue eye and one green eye. I also noticed a theme with my femails, they have strange eyes, Kayleigh-Lou Nightshade has the change of colour to red whe she uses her dark magic and Nightshade has purple eyes.  I do like fantasy for this reason, the strangeness you can.
When you read this story you will understand why she has strange eyes, there is always a reason for the eyes, it's. It just personal preference, with Kayleigh-Lou it's her magic and Nightshade it represents her tribe.
Raine has always felt sheltered, she feels that her aunties and Louie shelter her from the world, they never really let her go far and this results in her lying about where she travels to.  She is not a grumpy character but it can come across that way at times, deep inside she is warm hearted and full of love.  Sometimes she is very serious and thinks too much about things that could easily be shrugged off or taken in the moment.

All in all I am very much looking forward to writing with her, she will be very secretive and hold many surprises.  I hope you like the sound of her, and I hope you are looking forward to the next snippet of character info.

Next is that crazy, cool character.  Cat.

I'm back.....whoohoo!!!

So. It's a day late but dim finally back and the blogging can truely begin.

Well, as I said, I will write as much as I can as I write the 12 novels, first of all is Nanowrimo novel, 50k in one month.  This year I will be doing yet another fantasy genre, yes I know, for those of you know me I do love writing fantasy novels.

I do not have a title just yet, I think when I start writing  it a title will come, maybe when I finish it it will come. Mwho knows, I really like this story, it starts off in the 'normal' world and of course takes place in this world and another.  It does have an area of romance because I do like the strife of fighting for someone you love, to do things to help those in need but also for the one you love. Arr!

Inhave just decided that the next blog I will introduce one of the characters, just to wet your appetite, then another, I think I shall introduce four of them, Raine, Hunter, Cat and Auran. The lovely Raine will be first, the heroine of the story.

So, I shall log off now and come up with something to wet your appetite

Until next time.

Tatty bye

November 1st novel number one

I got the idea for this novel from a dream, you see, most of my novel ideas come from random parts of dreams I remember. I never remember the whole dream, or maybe I do, who knows with dreams right?

All I remember from this dream was I was younger, I lived in my old grandads house with three aunties and a man called Louie, I went to school but ran away to spend the day with Matt Smith.  We went to an abandoned theme park and we play.  That's about it, so from that I drew up a story and I liked it so much I'm going to turn it into a novel.

Now, I have others planned out from either ideas or dreams fragments, some are good, like one I decided to call "25 things to keep you unhappy.....forever!" It will be a story or sorts, like a diary from a really miserable person, a comedy I hope.
Another story will be adventures of my little boy, a story just for him, little adventures where he makes friends with friendly boats, mummies and saves the day with the help of his friends.  Something he cane have whe he's older.

Unfortunatly I have to off line for two weeks, I'm changing my provider to wifi :-) so please bare with me.  I intend to update daily once the challange has begun, to let you know what I have done for that day and how the story progresses.

Well I hope to see you soon once my internet is back up and running.  See you on the 15th October

The 12 Month challange

Well, this is my second attempt at a blog, so, what is the 12 novel challange? It is a personal challange set by me for.....well....me! Haha!

I had a thought you see, if I can complete National Novel Writing Month, maybe I can do one novel a month averaging 50k words in that month.

Nanowrimo is a write-a-thon taking place during November, I heard about it on bbc breakfast, which is a news channel in the UK you see. I thought I would give it a try, 2011 was my first go and I did it. "Moonlight Whale Song" was born after a month of planning and mapping, it's not my favourite work but I still like it none the same.  Last year my son was born so I thought I wouldn't complete the 50k you see, I had such a lovely idea and I hoped to finish it. And I did! It was a surprise to be sure, "To Waltz With Shadows" was created and is by far my favourite short novel and it only took me 22 days to complete.

So that was where the 12 challange came from, I have been planning stories and have a few I like, and one I really like.  I don't have a title just yet, but next post i will explain.

Thank you for reading

:-)
